End of Quarter Pump or Dump?

It's the end of month and end of quarter today. Do we do something cool or nothing at all?

First thought here is totally off-topic. The image inside today's post is of a Sinclair gas pump (yes, we are full of jokes it's very funny please laugh). Every time I go out West, I feel compelled to visit a Sinclair gas station. I think because the first time I went out West I'd never seen or heard of one before and I was enamored because not only was the logo a dinosaur but just about every station has a big dinosaur out by the street. It's fun, and you'll see me go to one at least once every trip. Childhood whimsy and all of that.

Moving on to the markets--it is the end of the third quarter and the end of the month today. At the close it will be a race as every gets positioned for the next quarter. All eyes will be on the JPM SPX collar to figure out where we will close today and what strikes they are using for next quarter. I am barely smart enough to understand what the JPM SPX collar does, and I'm certainly not smart enough to explain it here, but it's important so I keep my eyes on what the vastly smarter than me are saying.

The social media bull vs. bear debate continues, as everyone gets excited about dojis and wicks and volume and picks whatever timeframe best fits their narrative. In the very short-term (aka, today) I'm probably leaning a little more bullish. We'll find out today if in the future you should just fade what we say here. That's my personal inclination, but I'm also not married to it and I have no positions based on that, so I'm prepared to go either way today. And frankly, if I don't see anything I like, I'm prepared to hit one or two scalps and go into the weekend happy. Mondays and Fridays I'm always more willing to be a little more conservative. It's always a good feeling to start and end the weekend on a positive note, and I fully embrace that psychological aspect to my trading. Trade well today!
